Japanese are pretty "nationalistic". Look at the thread about the half Japanese girl winning the Miss Japan contest.
Dont know where she went to school, but I know kids who are ABC's (American born chinese) or 1/2 Chinese/ 1/2 white and they never really had a problem being accepted in the US.
