    Awhile back, I found a very good deal on a couple of filet mignons.

    Tonight, they were supper. Marinated for a day, done in an oven skillet. Side dishes were sugar peas we picked and shelled today, along with some buttered new potatoes.

    I'm as full as a dog tick...

      @Jolly said in A High-falutin' Supper:

      Marinated for a day, done in an oven skillet.

      Now you can't just say that and walk away...

      Details, please. Marinated how?

      Cast iron I assume. On the stove? In the oven?

        Marinade? A concoction the wife made up with salt, ground black pepper, Worcestershire sauce and raspberry vinaigrette. Iron skillet/oven.

        Internal temp on mine was 125. 130 after it rested just a mite.
