Yeah, stupid, but Massie is still one of only 5 reps to vote against all of the free COVID cash. AOC was another, but she was voting against it because it didn’t drop more cash into the system.

If the Republicans had a higher majority of members, this would be any news. But................. and they will shake their heads and wonder in November why the Democrat have won the majority of the House of Representatives.

Dems can govern, but you get lousy policies. The GOP tends to have better policies, but every man is his own king

We need to free congress from the party system as best we can. Really you just need rules such that minorities (or individuals) can’t block votes from being held.

That would disempower the fringes and we’d get compromises, and saner policies overall.

The top of this roller coaster was reached when McCarthy caved to the clowns (Gaetz, et al) allowing a rule change where a small number could pose a motion to vacate. With a super-slim (and now slimmer) majority, it was the death-knell of reason - for a couple of years at least.

Yes but it never should have happened. I like Johnson. Much of the rest of the party I hesitate to put in power.

Presumably the minority of Olympian-class knobheads in the GOP who want to get rid of him are hoping for a fellow knobhead to take control.

The funny thing idle how quickly the press has come to Johnson’s defense. The same people that were lambasted no him as an evangelist hate monger are now defending him. And that was only 3-4months ago.

That was when the slick press thought that the likes of Gaetz and MTG were elected for providing comic relief to the House.

Just saw a note that the Congress Representatives are going to vote on the three foreign aid requests (Taiwan/Ukraine/Isreal) separately on Saturday.

It will be interesting.
