The author doesn’t seem to say where Israel/Palestine fit in this “world war” construct.

Last time I checked, Israel was and remains a democracy while Hamas controlled Gaza was an authoritarian terror state led by religious fanatics through armament support from other the Islamic terror states and secular autocrats.

That is where that war fits in to the bigger world war scenario.
