Looking back, I was reminded how good he was, for what he was. Incredibly toxic. Flamboyantly unfair. Totally full of shit. All the qualities that have always repelled me. But also a master of his craft.
I think that goes for any high profile "media personality". They have to be outrageous to get the conversation going. They want to get people to either love them or hate them. Increases their listeners/views/clicks/etc.
He was not the first to act like this and there will more as long as there is radio/internet....
