In fairness, you can do it with a picture that identifies you as a certain phenotype of human. It's just that the estimate gets more and more noisy as the data gets more abstract. DNA test might be way more specific.
Of course this DNA prediction stuff can and will happen, and of course it's going to be highly accurate, to the extent the prediction models are as nuanced and complicated as DNA is. My favorite bit of parenting wisdom I've seen is that you shouldn't knock yourself out too much, because your kid will be what they will be, as long as you provide some basic parenting essentials.
