Maybe pick one up and try it? Mass produced instruments are chromatic scale and you can pick it up much faster than a guitar. You get really good, you might want to go to a diatonic scale harp or convert your own.

Beware of becoming pretty good on one, they're like guitars. You may only be satisfied with more resonance and bottom end.
