Apparently, it was a sign from God.

She's also saying the eclipse is a portent of something or other. Silly cow.

Is that not as stupid, just as stupid, or more stupid as blaming it on climate change?

Differently stupid but in the same team photo.

Strange though that you’d pull out some whattaboutism on her behalf.

They’ll end up, after a lot of drama, with the same formula they use every time they have a trifecta: take away health care and food assistance from low income families and use the money to fund tax cuts for their donors.

Whattaboutism is an attempt at deflection, generally speaking.

Whataboutisms are often demonstrations that cheap rhetorical points can be barfed out from any given perspective. They have a reasonable place in any discussion that is already entrenched in cheap rhetorical points.

Well MTG linked two different things to her made up Best Friend - one the earthquake, the other a completely predictable total eclipse. The other American person only blamed one thing on climate change.

Hence, MTG is twice as stupid as the other stupid one.

Dude, don't try and make out that I'm the one being a twat with cheap rhetorical points. It's you Americans (👀 ) electing these idiots, and they don't get much cheaper rhetorically than Margorie.

Too bad about all the earthquakes these past few days. Am sure there are rational geological explanations for their occurrence without having to resort to climate change zeitgeist or worse, the nonsense of Christian millennialism and superstition.

There was small quake/tremor in rural Alberta a week or so back.

                              https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.7156034

They stopped fracking operations in the area. No obese cheerleaders in the region to my knowledge, but there are plenty of Natives. There may be a correlation.

You have to imagine though, if several hundred years ago the ground shook like that then a few days later the sun disappeared, we’d definitely be burning some witches.

As long as the tremor does not lead to the wrong thing getting snipped, I suppose it’s fine.
