I wish I could see the poll itself. My fear is he might have underpolled the Bronx and Yonkers and New Rochelle, which are heavily minority areas.

From what I’ve read I’d think Latimer would actually represent his constituents rather than chasing woke nonsense.

It’s a bit contrived to have Westchester and parts of the Bronx conjoined in a district.

I voted against Bowman and his predecessor Mondair Jones in the last two primaries and in the general (as a pointless protest vote).

Yeah, those areas have exactly nothing in common, save perhaps Yankee Stadium.

Two terms ago there was a moderate democrat running in the primary who was the son of the founder of Regeneron, a biotech about three miles north of me. I thought he would have been a great rep. Mondair Jones won instead, he and Richie Torres in the south Bronx, elected at the same time, were the first two openly gay black men elected to congress. Mondair lost his seat two years later due to redistricting. Bowman was elected to our new district.

Mondair Jones was on my bill. I’ve visited Torres once and Bowman twice and they haven’t signed on yet. I even have a photo with me and our CEO and Bowman in hos office. If I can find a copy I’ll post it.
