We needed another Indiana Jones movie more than another Alien.

I watched "Alien: Romulus."

It's actually very nicely done.
One can argue about whether it adds anything significant to the Alien mythology but as a movie it is consistent with the earlier Alien movies and quite entertaining to watch. It's like "Rogue One" to Star Wars.
