…would make Jon a dull boy. So after a two full days on the hill my better half and I went to a Peruvian restaurant called “Causa” and had the tasting menu. Plus we got extra stuff because Mayla knows the chef. He’s from the town where her parents live.

The restaurant got a Michelin star a couple of months ago but we got in with a week’s notice due to her friendship with the chef. I highly recommend this place when you’re in DC, but you should make a reservation a few weeks in advance.

Nice! I've never been to a Peruvian restaurant and have no clue whatsoever about what Peruvian food is like.

Probably the best known Peruvian food which you can find anywhere is ceviche.

Ceviche is one of my favorite things. All the Mexican places in East Tennessee had it on the menu. Oddly none of them here do.

Every German has had Peruvian food. The potato came from Peru.

Now I remember the restaurant where I had ceviche. Interestingly, it was there presented as being Mexican food.
