AI in Scientific Papers
-
I talked to a guy who's building an AI system last week. He said something interesting:
Whatever technology helps us out with, it makes us also suck at it. We downgrade from "good" to "good enough." Used to be, there was a lot of variability in drivers. But with today's lane assistance, anti-lock breaks, backup cameras, smart speed control, etc., etc., it's made the shit drivers safer and the good drivers worse. Good and bad drivers alike now use the technology as a crutch.
Which means, with AI doing everything for us now, just imagine the spectrum of things we're going to suck at.
