          As long as it's recoverable in case of crash...OTOH, I've got a good many children's movies and shows on VCR tapes that are collecting dust in the storeroom. I own then, but technology has marched on...

            Yep, that is a problem. I have music on CD's. Now, everybody uses streaming. Even a lot of cars today do not come with a CD player any more.
