Good info, but not too surprising. Kind of like shampoo bottles that recommend washing your hair twice. "Shampoo, rinse, repeat". Just a way to sell more product.

Same thing with toothpaste. They always show a big, long tube of it on the brush, when all you need is the size of a small pea. I use less laundry detergent than they say to anyway, and the fast wash cycle unless I've been doing construction or outdoor work. Myu clothes just don't get that dirty.

Cleanliness and the products that provide it is entirely gameable by the marketers, because cleanliness is often more a feeling than an observable fact. Zoom in enough and everything is dirty. Zoom out enough and everything is clean.

            Somewhat related...

Years ago, when our dishwasher in the Cheddarshack® died, the repair guy told me that people try to use regular dish soap in the dishwasher when it malfunctions (door dispenser not working). Of course it's a foamy mess, all over the place.

People expect suds when cleaning...but dishwasher soaps are designed to clean without suds.

            So there.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

The good news is very few people do this twice.
