I've had my slow cooker sitting on a shelf in the utility room for at least two years. I can use my Instant Pot as a slow cooker, but based on @Mik's recommendation, I used my Dutch oven in a 190 degree oven with great results.

    So, should I pitch it?

        FB Marketplace.

        Nah, not worth the hassle.

        Bottom line: Not worth keeping.

          I'd agree.

We use them. Very good for social gatherings, when you want to bring the dish in something where it can be kept warm.

Yup. About once a year, the OR had a "Chili Luncheon." Everyone would bring his/her crockpot with whatever iteration of chili they liked. Keeping it plugged in and warm was an obvious benefit.

                But for me?

                I don't think so.
