Probably correct - at least in teh trend.

Looking at ADP, which is a private company that looks at jobs, they trend the same as the US government numbers, with lots of jobs being added.

Yep. Part time, and mostly of illegal migrant workers.

There is the Japanese three "K" descriptions of jobs. kitanai, kiken, kitsui (汚い, 危険, きつい) and translates to "Dirty, dangerous, difficult"

Immigrants are often the only people that will take these jobs. I dont know how many of the jobs add are in these categories, but I am sure a few are.

            Bullshit.

Money talks. Make the money right and you can find a native-born person to do any job. Immigrants, especially illegal immigrants, usually equal cheap labor.

Stop by any Home Depot and you might find a bunch of "day workers" looking for some walking-around money.

@Jolly I agree, but many people say one thing but usually shop with their wallet. Pay farmworkers more --> food prices go up. Pay slaughter house workers more --> meat prices go up.

(We have had discussions on here about increase the minimum wage)

Go to a grocery store. Buy a $1 apple from US or a $0.75 apple from Mexico? What will the majority of people chose?

Read a story about the decline of steel in the US. Definitely steel work fits the 3 "D" definition of a job. Well paying also. But cheaper steel from mainly China, etc. has decreased the US market quite a bit. Now of course, labor cost is not the only reason Chinese steel is cheaper but is a (somewhat big) contribution.
