Amid explosive demand, America is running out of power AI and the boom in clean-tech manufacturing are pushing America’s power grid to the brink. Utilities can’t keep up.
Even before electric vehicles, the surging demand for AI got blamed first. Crypto currency mining is also mentioned.
The problem is not lack of fuel or lack of generative capacity, but lack of transmission capacity.

I had heard something similar to that before. Getting more oil/natural gas/renewables, etc. wouldn't help things if you cant get it from the "source" to the end of the people that use it.
