Yes. The whole Iranian killing women thing right now is about the hijab.
As for the nun outfit, a very small number of women decide to be celibate and dedicate their lives to God.
The Islamic outfit is part of forcing all women to hide themselves from the sight of all other men. Women have been beaten nearly to death for removing their burqaas in their own homes because there was a window and people might have seen her.
