I really love led The Grand Tour. Never really saw Top Gear, so TGT was my first exposure. Luke and I will eagerly wait for the final 2 episodes, but yeah, it’s repetitive and run it’s course. Frankly, though, it’s the camaraderie between the three of them that makes the show. They’ll could do travelogues or restaurant reviews and it would be entertaining…

      Oh, what you've missed.

Top Gear was fabulous with the guys. Everything from their presentations, to the cinematography, and, of course, the reviews (it's a car show, right?) were topnotch.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

        90’s were a drug/alcohol induced blur. Early 2000s were a girl Induced blur… Late 2000s were a “Wait? I’m a fvcking dad?” Blur… Didn’t really return to a regular life until ~ 2013 or so…

I actually thought Top Gear went back further than 2002…

The original Top Gear was a BBC show that started in the 70's and ran through until 2001. It was very different from the re-booted show, it was much more serious, typical BBC show for the time, and mostly car reviews. There were a large number of presenters, ranging from professional TV hosts and motoring journalists to racing drivers. Clarkson started as one of the presenters in the late 80's and was a less extreme version of his current persona.

            I was only joking

Looking up on WILI, it states the dhow started on 02 with Clarkson’s, do excuse my ignorance… in the 80’s I didn’t have cable, in yhe 90’s I did have alcohol, and in the 2000s I had a wife and kid. TV didn’t exist.

Here's an example from 1994...the theme music immediately takes me back to those days when the BBC took it's goal to inform, educate and entertain a little more seriously. It's a bit boring.
