Don't you love it when they leave a major portion of the story out? Edwards-Helaire had a very good rookie season and was having a good second year, until he tore up his knee. He hasn't had the same plant and pop since. He was never a blindingly fast back, but he could cut on a dime and was very good in pass protection.
I think he's a good NFL back-up and while the chiefs didn't pick up his fifth-year option, I could see him coming back to KC for less money.
