    But is he correct?

      He is incorrect.

      Latest from the Kiel Institute

      https://www.ifw-kiel.de/topics/war-against-ukraine/ukraine-support-tracker/

When focusing on committed military aid, the EU countries continue to catch up, and now surpassed the U.S. In particular Germany and the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland) earmarked significant new assistance in the past months. Of the total 25 billion in heavy weapon commitments (Jan. 2022 -–Oct. 2023), the US accounts for 43 percent of the total value, while all EU countries and institutions together account for 47 percent.

We've already stipulated Trump's math is incorrect, but is he correct in his premise and in his politics?

The fact that based on teh data presented, Europe is already paying a higher % than the US.

So, I am not quite sure what he is saying?

The number you quoted, TG, was heavy weapons. There's more to it than that. Trump's underlying premise of relatively equal financial - or possibly more European - support is correct. Russian tanks are not going to be rolling into New Jersey anytime soon.

Trump has a point about getting more EU involvement, but as usual he's not good with the details. I'm always left with the feeling that he spends 10 minutes Googling and makes his speech based on what he digs up.

Kind of like what I do here, except I don't spend 10 minutes.

              I was only joking

I wasn't aware you knew how to google.

It’s EU that will foot the bulk of the astronomical bill to remediate and rebuild what will be left of Ukraine as a sovereign state when the shooting stops.

There will also have to be collective security guarantees for Ukraine from NATO as a credible deterrent to any future Russian aggression.

                  Elbows up!

Maybe this will show more info.
