Josh Hawley's been victimizing teens on Facebook? I'm not surprised. Maybe he should apologize too.

      I was only joking

Goofy reply to a serious problem.

Kids who are into social media tend to have mental problems. We're talking three or more interactions per day.

Kids who get bullied on social media...Well, a lot of those parents at that hearing yesterday had buried some of their children.

Yes, you're right. My stupid joke was out of line. I've read some truly heartbreaking stories, as I'm sure have we all.

I don't think 3 or more interactions per day is a problem, because that's pretty much every kid in the country, but bullying sure is.

I'm also not sure Facebook is the problem. Neither of my kids, or any of their friends, even have an account.

          I was only joking

As I mentioned to Mrs. George yesterday, FB and its kind have basically made the schoolyard nationwide. Bullies gotta bully, and here's a great place to do it.

The problem is how do you stop the bullies? In a schoolyard, it's not too complicated. But here....

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

I’m not sure that you can really and truly stop bullying. The key is inoculating the kids against it.
