      Syrup as dipping sauce? You must have taken "don't drown your food" to heart. (Of all the things to be teaching children, that one was the oddest.) I have always used the immersion/saturation method myself. But IHOP puts their pancakes on pancake sized round plates, so you can't do that without spilling. Clever.

      Education is extremely important.
