    Just perusing some viewer numbers over the last few months...The Today Show continues a long trend of losing viewers. Good Morning America is the leader with around 3M viewers. Third place is the CBS show.

    Interesting, is that FOX and Friends, a cable show, is about 600,000 viewers behind CBS and has about half the viewership of Today.

    Some questions...

    1. Ratings on Today are the worst since 1991. Why?
    2. What is the future for morning shows?
    3. What makes for a good morning show?
    4. Should FOX offer FOX and Friends to affiliates as standard programming?

      @Jolly said in The Morning Shows:

      What makes for a good morning show?

      Cartoons.

      The only morning show I've ever enjoyed watching was on a Saturday when I was about 8 years old, and featured The Banana Splits. UH OH CHONGO!!!!

      I was only joking

        @Jolly

        What makes for a good morning show?

        At one time, like Phibes, it was cartoons.

        Now it’s the Weather Channel.

        Although, my teenage son has found a cable station that runs old 3 Stooges shorts. Nothing says Good Morning to start your retirement day like a bowl of Stooges.

        Elbows up!
