You in Durham? If so be careful. Weather is awful.

      Methylprednisolone...

      That's a big freaking dose.

I had a dip in my lung function which can be an indicator of rejection. I had a biopsy done and none was found, but we’re doing a massive steroid treatment just in case, which can often beat rejection back. I’ve had this done twice, though not since 2017 I think

60mg of prednisone is a big dose. I’m taking 750mg for three days (intravenously) then tapering down over time.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Prednisone or methylprednisolone? Methylprednisolone is about 25% more potent.

I wonder why they choose either of those vs something like dexamethasone which has better anti-inflammatory properties and lasts longer. Also, less mineralocorticoid (electrolyte, etc) effect.

That was my go-to drug during neuro cases to prevent swelling.

                  By the way, gettin' hungry?

You know, I haven’t noticed an effect on my apppetite. But I made a change to my eating habits to help regain the muscle mass I lost during Covid. 2.5 years of gym time after a year off didn’t do it by itself, it wasn’t until I started eating A LOT more protein that I noticed effects.

A high protein diet (~1g/lb of body weight) requires me to eat 4 or 5 meals a day. Hard to go up much from there.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I don't know what any of this means, but I'm sending thoughts and prayers your way, like I know everyone is in their own way. Are you going through this due to test results, or are you experiencing pain? That's none of my business, but just asking from a friend, virtual friend at that.

O I feel fine, even the decline still has me in the ‘normal’ range of lung function. It was just out of nowhere, so we’re trying to nip any underlying problem in the bud.
