If Gillian Anderson is washed up, I'd hate to think what that makes the writers for The Gateway Pundit.

Great Britain outlaws elective abortions after 24 weeks, and they have to be approved by two doctors.
I wonder if Ms. Anderson is aware of that.
Should she be?

It would be nice if you're well-informed before making statements about another country's laws. Or, in this case, the laws of individual states.
I dunno, getting two doctors to approve an abortion sounds pretty restrictive to me. I wonder what the waiting period at the NHS for this is.
She might be aware, of course. I have no way of knowing.
But, then again, nothing says "stay classy" like wearing a dress with a bunch of vaginas sewn into its fabric.

But isn't she an American? According to Wiki she was born in Chicago and is a US citizen. She certainly sounds like a yank to me at least.
Most people who live in the UK are aware of the abortion laws. It isn't a hot button over there, at least for most people.

I was not aware of that. At least I admit my ignorance.
She grew up in London, having left Chicago at the age of ... 15 months. She returned to the US at age 11.
-
She sounds like a yank to me. Then again, I've lived in the US for over 20 years, so I must be an American.
-
Still, describing her as washed-up is a bit much - look at her Wiki page. Then look at the Wiki page of the author who wrote the article.

JWHT.
For that matter, so would I.

Pretty good ro9les for a washed up actress.

By the way, I was kind of disappointed that "Maestro" didn't win something significant. Though I didn't care, all that much, for the film, Cooper was amazing - both as actor and director.
Yes, I was too. And Koy's joke about his nose was in such bad taste. All the writing last night was miserable.

So, the question becomes this:
What's more inappropriate?
- A political blogger calling a 55 year old (attractive) actress "washed-up."
- Wearing a dress with embroidered vaginas to a celebration of movies and art.
As @Doctor-Phibes says, it's not a "hot-button issue" in Great Britain.
Anderson, however, wants to continue to make it one here.

She's not just some blogger, she's the Associate Editor of The Gateway Pundit - where Hope finally made a comeback!

The "washed-up" silliness was just that...A red-herring to steer people down a rabbit hole. However, compared to what people thought her career would be - she was hot as a firecracker during the last of the X-Files -she has underperformed. Part of that is intentional, as she has deliberately worked the stage in London.
No, female anatomy on your dress is highly inappropriate. Not to mention the ignorance of not knowing the difference between the vagina and the vulva.

I've seen a lot worse dresses at awards ceremonies.
I should note I don't actually watch the red-carpet shows for much the same reason that I don't watch ice dancing - i.e. I am
a blokevagina-challenged.
