What's up with Tomlin loving on Chicago QBs? Now they want Fields?

Clickbait bull. Read closely, there is nothing in any of those links indicating Pittsburgh has reached out. It just states that if Pittsburgh is interested, this is what it would cost.

The local feeling is that they are willing to ride with Mason for as long as it goes. If he doesn’t turn into a pumpkin at midnight, then great! If he does, or if they lose him in free agency, then they are happy to continue with Kenny. He was showing improvement before the injury, and it’s a franchise that has learned its lesson when it comes to QB. Remember that they cut Johnny Unitas in 1955 because the coach thought that Johnny was too dumb to quarterback a team. That was before Rooney’s time, but I’m sure he heard that story from his father and grandfather many times…

Then they drafted Bradshaw, who was benched constantly over the first 5 years of his career. I think that reaffirmed the value of patience with a QB…

      If they went that route

SB Nation was one of the outfits that ran with the ridiculous story that Kenny refused to dress as the backup…
