Rough Landing

Why didn't he go around?
Good question.
I think usually the point when you are committed to land is when reverse thrust, or spoilers/air brakes are deployed. Or you don't have enough runway in front of you to take off. Maybe there was some other reason, low fuel possibly.
Maybe it just felt OK to the pilot, it was after all a safe landing.
It looked to me like he was hit with a strong gust, possibly a wing vortex from a previous flight. They can hang around for a long time if the conditions are right.
