We've always been kind of relaxed on Christmas Eve. In the last few years, we've done sandwiches from the deli counter at our local grocer, or just a plate of cold cuts with assorted breads, dips, etc.

This year, we decided to go with DIY Italian beef...because Chicago. So I placed an order for Italian beef, bread, potato salad, and garden salad.

    D4 - "I don't like Italian beef - it's a 'texture' thing."

    D3 - "I don't like Italian beef."

D4 - "Get the grandkids some burgers. I'll have a gyro."

    FML.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Hey, it's family. It will all work out

        Dessert, please.

Cake, cookies, ice cream, candy, something special.

We're not much on tradition, protocol, etc.

          It'll be fine.
