Marinara and Lasagna
-
The restaurant downstairs is sort of higher-end Italian.
Tuesdays are BOGO day, when you can get two pizzas for the price of one, and that's been our Tuesday meal for months. I didn't realize that the BOGO applies not only to pizza, but also to their pastas.
So, last night, I ordered a pizza and some lasagna.
The lasagna was quite tasty, but...
It was in one of those plastic take-out containers, and it was swimming in marinara. It was covered with the stuff, and it was sitting in a pool of red sauce.
I've never had lasagna presented that way. Is this common?

Sounds like they ladled the marinara over the lasagna.

Yeah, that’s what it looked like.
Not what I expected…at all.

Try it again and ask them to hold the marinara. It still might be a great lasagna that just needs a little fix…
Or, more likely, it’s a dry lasagna that a dollop of marinara would go a long way and they overdid it.

Maybe it's artisanal lasagna?
Kinda' seems like there's an arse joke in there somewhere.
