So I just noticed the tenderloin I bought for Christmas dinner has a sell by date of the 23rd. Should I freeze it now and thaw on the 24th, or do you think it would be fine in the fridge?

No reason not to freeze it, though it would probably be fine.

Either that or dry age it. Probably freeze.

Yeah, I agree it will probably be fine, but at $35 per lb, I don’t want to risk it. Think I’ll trim down and cut off a couple of filets, first.

Totally fine. The sell-by date is several days before the use-by date.

With women anyway. I assume meat works the same way.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
