Prithee, tell me if you've been to one of these?

    I, for one, have not.

However, your comment raises an interesting point: When does "entertainment" cross over into "worship?" Are they mutually exclusive?

If you get bodies into the pews seats, is that a bad thing? OTOH, how many of the congregation are there, just for the show?

The people seem to be having a good time, just like at the Pride March in San Francisco.

Doesn’t mean we can’t call them over the top.

        Only non-witches get due process.

You're right. The Pride March in San Francisco is usually over the top.

I'm Church of England (membership expired). Our idea of a heady night out is a tombola followed by a small sherry.

Well, not quite "just like." I didn't zoom in, but I didn't see anyone ejaculating on someone else.

But, yeah, I get your point.

You chaps should embrace British Pantomime. Blokes dressed as women, women dressed as blokes, and at a fraction of the cost of that American thing! And, it goes without saying, no ejaculating other than the traditional shout of "HE'S BEHIND YOU!"

Make the girls topless, put them on a stage in Vegas, and charge $100 per person, and everyone is fine with it…

I have seen the nativity scene staged as part of a topless show in Vegas. It's actually very well done. It's only the last 15~20 minute of a 2 hour show, but the actors/dancers did cover up for the nativity scene. And no Santa for the scene; I think the Vegas troupe's nativity scene adhered to tradition even more closely than the Texas Mega Church's version.

I for one will reserve judgement until I find out if there are VIP rooms available.
