Went to a Christmas show last week and took the grandkids. Sorry, only had two camels and one zebra. And not near as many flying drummers or angels.
Great show, and the members of that church work very hard to produce their annual Christmas event.
I can fault big and mega churches for some things, but a high energy, well-produced Christmas show and live nativity ain't one of them.

Why was there a Santa sleigh at the beginning of the first video? LOL

You have a problem with Santa?

I thought that some people thought it was taking away from teh religion part or true meaning of the holiday.
(I have been to a few different churches during Christmas time, and never saw any reference to Santa in one)

No, he's not showing up at Sunday morning service. But this is a special show. Bring on Santa. Shucks, bring Rudolph!
A lot of these Christmas shows will feature a first half of a Christmas play with a message, along with some WOW! stuff. The second half tends to be the Christmas story from Luke. That's where you have the live nativity, etc.

I find it funny that the folks most outraged over this are outraged on behalf of Christian beliefs they themselves don't even share. GMAFB. You don't get to be outraged on behalf of the folks you regularly criticize.
As long as this doesn't pass for "Sunday Church" I'm admittedly a little skeezed out but I'll take this over cowering to the wokes any day.

Make the girls topless, put them on a stage in Vegas, and charge $100 per person, and everyone is fine with it…

Years ago The Vicar of Dibley Christmas special had a live nativity scene as well. Alice Springs was playing Mary and went into labour during the cattle manger scene. Mayhem ensued:

What’s even funnier is how gay the shows are

I'd say that tracks. Unlike, say, the Jew-hating wokes, Jesus takes all comers.

It’s not really what JC thinks that’s at issue here. I’m pretty sure he’d be down with the gays, since he seems to have opinions similar to mine on most things, at least as far as I can tell. Mega churches maybe not so much.

Let's compare open calls for genocide tallies and you tell me who lately has been looser with 'em.

Dude, buzz-kill. I'm just laughing at how gay the shows are. We don't have to compare everything to genocide, although I guess we could. It would probably make my speeding ticket seem less awful.

I, for one, have not.
However, your comment raises an interesting point: When does "entertainment" cross over into "worship?" Are they mutually exclusive?
If you get bodies into the
pewsseats, is that a bad thing? OTOH, how many of the congregation are there, just for the show?***heh.***

The people seem to be having a good time, just like at the Pride March in San Francisco.
Doesn’t mean we can’t call them over the top.

You're right. The Pride March in San Francisco is usually over the top.
