    Screw the credit score...

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

      A couple of issues:

      1. A bad credit score doesn’t just stop you from buying a house, it can affect rentals, phone contracts, all kinds of things.

      2. It’s nonsensical to think an entire generation will never be able to afford a home. What happens when the boomers and gen xers die? They’re just going to sit empty? They’ll all be converted to rentals?

Why not become huge YIMBYs as a generation? Eventually you’ll beat us old guys in elections. Remember, homes are expensive due to policy choices.

I remember reading something about how there would be a down trend in housing prices for a long time. As the US becomes more of an aging country, the available single family houses will be greater than the demand.
