"And, second, I think that also was — Iran had to have some fireworks after Israel smoked that Iranian general, and I am here for that."
Not sure I am understanding that one…
I think he means that, after the strike on the embassy, Iran felt like it had to so some kind of pro-forma retaliation.

There are a lot of analysts saying that as well. Tehran had to do something more for domestic consumption than to engage Israel directly over the strike on its consulate. After all, that airborne ordinance this weekend had to fly over Jordanian and Saudi territory (Syrian too, although it probably doesn’t matter much) to get to Israel. Now done, Iran would prefer an immediate return to the shadow war with Israel it has been waging since 1979.

I understood that much of it, but the “I’m here for that” comment after bashing Biden for not offering Israel unconditional support. It felt like a contradiction, and even sounded like he was enthusiastically supporting the Iranian counter-attack.

I think George has it right. And...
Since Pennsylvania is a swing state and he is a Biden man, reckon he's given Biden a bit of cover while throwing some shade on him? As in Biden is wrong on this issue, but so right on all of these, which is why I support him?

I’d like to see some polls. I imagine these protests are likely turning some public sentiment away from Palestine.

@Horace said in Fetterman's growing on me:
The more the public hates Palestine protestors, the more special and courageous those protestors are. This is why they got that advanced degree in some social science. This is what they trained for.
Courageous until you call them the wrong chosen gender. Then they evidently kill themselves en masse.

The protestors are simply “those people” to me. Every last one. Consequently those people’ are at liberty to read into whatever gender they’s people wish.

At least on this issue.
Yes. Don't forget to take the blinkers off.
Oh, he's right on Menedez as well.
I really haven't seen his positions on other things, but I assume he's a loyal Biden foot soldier.
