I’m wondering, in the context of the internet generations being new versions of humans unlike any before seen, whether the current generation of kids is the dumbest ever. I mean I would not have expected the internet to generate so much stupid, but who knows?

Consider public school...How much have we dumbed down curricula and inflated grades, in order to graduate a higher percentage of students?

Maybe there's too much noise and not enough signal. Kids are able to get so much information, but none of it is filtered through our culture.
If you learned or heard something multiple times pre-internet, chances were that it was pretty important.
Now all the important stuff seems to be mixed in with the inane.

Survey the dumb kid’s parents and grandparents to see what, if at all any, views they might have on the subject.
