Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

I want the days when late-nite wasn't political.

      It was more fun.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

        It certainly was.

Also when they were funny and not sophomoric muggers.

And when they could go off-script and be hysterical.

Just reflects the culture. Polarized culture will give you polarized popular entertainment. Say what you will about authoritarian states like China, but it's not polarized and the populace is largely a-political, as far as I can tell. I am sure that is a happier mental place to be.

            Education is extremely important.

Talent. Maybe there was more talent back in the day.

You had Rodney Dangerfield, Steve Martin and Don Rickles and many more.

Is there anyone like that now?

There's tons of comedy out there on the streaming channels as well as YouTube that isn't just political commentary with added one-liners. I'd never watch any of these late night shows if I wanted a laugh.

                  I was only joking

                    Drybar.

G or PG funny. Some of the jokes and routines are very funny. And here's what I find interesting...Several of these comedians have much bluer shows, but they clean it up for Drybar and are still funny.
