Rahm goes to LIV
-
Jon Rahm #3 golfer in the world left the US PGA to join the LIV golf league.
A notable event for the golf fan.
The US PGA, traditional home of the world's best golfers, is a little weaker and LIV is a little stronger.
The US PGA is a bunch of spoiled babies, so this might be a good development.
The Saudis are buying the services of these LIV golfers in an attempt to improve their image. They don't just support terrorists any more. Now they support some good guys.
Mr. Rahm, the Spaniard on the left, is shown shaking hands with the Australian on the right, Greg Norman. Mr. Norman was world number 1 for about 6 years.

I thought the PGA and LIV were going to merge or partner or something?

I think they are still working out the details. I haven't followed it very closely. I think part of the hangup is that the LIV guys, on average, make more money and work less.
And some PGA guys are unhappy with being associated with the Saudis, at least they act like they care about that.
