As @LuFins-Dad commented, he's right on this one issue.

Let's see how he acts with other stuff.

ETA: He's also right on Menendez.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Sounds a lot like small town common sense. Good thing he kept it.

That’s the thing, Mik. He never had it. Before the stroke he was the worst possible mix of an idiot with leftist ideologies, wealthy parents, while pretending to be a mill worker common guy, part of the union.

He actually is kinda renowned for how badly Braddock went downhill while he was “Mayor” and while the rest of the region around him had a little renaissance.

He wanted to be a community organizer. The town needed a community center, so he had daddy buy the closed Presbyterian Church, he renovated and offered its use to the town. There were multiple things like that that he called mayoral accomplishments that came down to his dad paying for it, and then Fetterman took credit for it. The only actual vote he participated in was blocking the Mon-Fayette Expressway, which would have been a boon for the region.

The guy is a complete fraud. That’s what makes this sudden shift so odd to me.

The handlers would be leading him to be more liberal, not less.
