A short piece describing the replacement process, timing, and likely players.

Has somebody explained that to Hochul yet? Or does she still think she can appoint the replacement?

I'm finding it hard to believe anyone is thinking expelling him is a mistake. It's the first sign of integrity I've seen in years.

I thought that as well, but reading her tweet, she was accurate (if not confusing) when she said, "I start the solemn process of replacing the 3rd district congressman" (or something to that effect.

It's her job to call for an election, not appoint replacement.

Agreed. It was an extraordinary move but he’s an extraordinary case.

They're Congress Critters. Their integrity is lower than normal or they wouldn't be there.

I think it was a mistake to expell him, until convicted. Once convicted, boot him.
