Meet the Trump Davidians

If the options truly wind up being Trump or Biden I think I am going to have to vote for Biden. Having a dementia ridden crooked SOB being driven by the lunatic left, but with a Republican controlled opposition Senate and a Conservative Court is a far better choice than a lunatic Trump movement that will steamroll the Republican Senate.

You're not going to have a Republican House and Senate. Probably Senate, but not House.
Notice I said Senate and not House?

The fact that those people weren't immediately struck by lightning, washed away by a storm surge and then eaten alive by locusts is pretty strong evidence that there's no God.

I can understand how you would be upset by people praying.
Too bad they didn't have the 'Satanic Abortion Ceremony', so much more suited to your tribe.
Cosmopolitan magazine shares steps for how to have a 'Satanic Abortion Ceremony'
The ritual as described is concluded by declaring, 'By my body, my blood; by my will, it is done'Cosmopolitan, a popular magazine for young women, shared with readers how they could have a ritualized abortion service via an abortion facility named after Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito's mother.
Cosmopolitan explained on its Instagram page on Nov. 16 about the process of having a Satanic-themed abortion. It specifically addressed a "ceremonial" service provided at the "Samuel Alito’s Mom’s Satanic Abortion Clinic," named as an insult to Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.
"What’s it like to have a Satanic abortion? For Jessica* [a fake name to keep the woman anonymous], a 37-year-old mother of three who received abortion medication via Samuel Alito’s Mom’s Satanic Clinic, ‘the experience was just very supportive,’" Cosmopolitan wrote in an Instagram post. "While she’s not a Satanist, Jessica decided to incorporate a few ceremonial elements into her solo abortion experience. ‘Why not?’ she thought. The overall messaging just clicked with her."

I'd be willing to bet that the orange object of your affections has considerably more experience of abortion clinics than I do.
Obviously, that would be before he became such a devout follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Weak. Very weak.
Do better.

Everyone's a critic. Maybe I should just give up and copy-and-paste stuff from deranged websites.
-
I’d stay clear of deranged websites in addition to coffee and donut shop gossips.
-
Wouldn't hurt.
Probably wouldn't hurt either one of you to walk in a church. A Christian church. Where people actually pray. Where people have faith that prayer changes things. Where it makes a difference.
God hears all prayers. He answers all prayers. Sometimes His answer is what we want. Sometimes it isn't. Sometimes, it's just silence.
But He hears.
Take comfort in that fact...
-
Been there, done it.
I have no problem with churches, they’re like any other man made construct. Some are magnificent structures. While others…not so much. What I cannot abide though is the people who occupy the pews and those who harangue the crowds. A bunch of nosey busybodies.
My human spirit prefers a quiet walk in the forest or along a lakeshore. Contemplating the majesty of a mountain works as well. Can’t get closer to the mystery of the divine than nature itself.
-
I prayed that Donald Trump was going to get eaten alive by locusts, but apparently that's not in line with modern Christian teaching, since I was struck by lightning on the way home.
It really fucking hurt.
I know, I know, I shouldn't make jokes, we're busy saving the world here. Still.....

Also, if the answer to a prayer is just silence, that's not really an answer. It's completely indistinguishable from what happens if there's nobody there. And honestly, if He can't be arsed to fix the Middle East, I'm pretty sure He doesn't care about helping me with my saxophone playing.
Let's put it this way, if my wife asks me for something, and all she gets is silence, then there's likely to be a bit of a scene. If I did it a few times, my house would resemble the Middle East.
Again, don't take this shit seriously. It's Sunday night and I have to leave for work at 5am tomorrow morning. I'm about to have a beer.

That’s why I prefer a walk in the forest to the dissonance of organised religion and its hordes of annoying and meddlesome supplicants.

If a tree falls on me in the forest and there's nobody to hear me screaming, does it really hurt?

Well, it’s an act of God, so I’d guess yes. Hurts bad. Real bad.
