They are fun to watch and usually pretty optimistic and have a good ending, but some are so unintentional bad that the are funny.

There was one that was supposed to be in Chicago in Christmas, but they would drive down the street and there were palm trees and the "snow" was pretty obvious cotton stuffing placed on the bushes. Even the acting was of the same quality.

And they make most of them in Canada.

I do too, but I'm glad they're made.

        Please love yourself.

About how I feel about them. Some are ok, some are bad, most are formulaic.

Here's the reason for the thread...One of Hallmark's best known stars, is Christian and thought Hallmark was starting to head in the wrong direction. She jumped ship for GAF. GAF's ratings increased, as they got into the Christmas movie biz.

It's another "is being woke hurting our business" thread...

So I’ve been told. Probably to take advantage of all the various provincial government grants and subsidies available for film making across the country. I have a friend who lives in Vancouver who has done very well for himself and his family over the years being casted in many of these festive schmaltz pics.

I seem to remember that a lot of movies were shot in Toronto, presumably because they wanted somewhere that looked like New York but with people who were very slightly less obnoxious.

I thought it had something to do with unions and their stranglehold on any movie that gets made in America.

                    Possible, but less amusing.

I read somewhere that half of US movies are made overseas, with the most popular places being Canada and the UK. Being a citizen of both countries, it can only be a matter of time before they call on my very particular set of skills.

Oh ... I thought GAF stands for "Gay As F???"
GAF written backwards might mean "Fabulous As Gay," no?
