G2 came home from school about 10 days ago with a note that the school had a case of HFM disease. Sure enough, within a day or so, he had a fever and the next day had a rash on his face. Lasted about 5 days, but he recovered pretty well.
G3, otoh, was not so lucky.
This poor kid (now about 18 months old), always suffers when sick. His case was a LOT worse. Rash ALL OVER his body (yes, even "down there"). High, high fever and just miserable with sores in his mouth, nose, etc.
He's mostly over it now, with just a little redness.
But..my God.

That’s dangerous territory. Glad he’s on the mend.

No kidding. I thought it was artifact, but D4 checked the thermometer on herself and go 98.4.
The kid HATES all oral meds, so it was a tylenol suppository for him.
He's very much on the mend - those photos are from late last week.

Poor little feller. Glad that he’s past the worst.
We were very lucky with our son, the worst fever he ever presented was maybe 102 and that only lasted one evening for a couple of hours before breaking. All our friends’ kids experienced temps of 104 + at least two or three times during their childhood.

He's back to his usual pleasant self.
This kid suffers SO much with any illness, and he's had his share of them - HFM, RSV, croup, etc. But if he's not sick and suffering, he's delightful. Never cries, always smiling and happy.
I wish my kids had been this pleasant at 18 months.
OTOH, I was working, so Mrs. George had to deal with them, so....
