    Katsu curry.

We like it, and surprisingly kid-friendly.

    Please love yourself.

looks pretty good and unsurprising that it's kid friendly. I know because the kid's menu always has chicken fingers.

If this is the "what's for dinner" thread, today I used my Traeger pellet smoker to smoke a steak. Pleased, very, with the results. No sear, but awesome flavor. Took about 20 minutes on the highest temp, which was a reported and probably optimistic 475. I used hickory wood pellets, which made it reminiscent of bacon. Next time I'll use mesquite.

          Looks delicious! Recipe?

We had a meet and greet with new cat sitter, so a quick spaghetti and meatballs was in order. Muir Glen sauce. OK, but not as good as Rao’s.

I think the sear is overrated in importance. Have you ever smoked a rack of lamb? Scrumptious.

                Terrible photo, awesome food.

                1. Chicken. Egg wash (add soy sauce, about 1-2 tbsp), then bread with panko breadcrumbs. Make sure the chicken's thin enough to fry in olive oil.
                2. Curry: food process equal volume of carrots abd shallots. Soften on med-high heat along with 2 tsp ginger, 2 tsp curry paste, some black pepper. Once they're fairly softened, add about 2-4 tsbp honey (to taste) and enough chicken stock to create a good sauce that's not too thin. Immersion blender that shit good and thorough.

I soften the veggies with hot sesame oil instead of EVOO when it's just me making it. Adds a nice, low heat.

                Please love yourself.

It is soooo much better smoked.
