Ahh, you’re still reading 1632…

I’m up to 1637 - the Transylvanian Decision, but it looks like that’s going to be the end of the mainline series. Flint died last year and the widow is shutting everything down.

It's a shame, because you have a LOT of material and characters to work with. As far as just stories go, the best stuff is written between Flint and Weber, or just Flint. DeMarce is wonderfully historic (cuz that's what she is), but she gets mired in the weeds occasionally.
According to what Flint wrote in 2020:

There should be a huge arc of novels unwritten. The question is who would the estate let write them? And who would publish?
I thought Jim Baen had a very good grasp of what he wanted his publishing company to be. Maybe it was the right time or just he was the right guy for the job, but Baen has not been the same since he died...They haven't developed new authors or storylines nearly as well.

I’ve stuck with the main storyline books and plan on going back to pickup on the other branches. There seems to be some confusion about whether there are a few more manuscripts that have been turned in or not.
I believe most of the regular authors have basically cut ties, but some of the amateurs are still publishing online in the Grantville Gazette format.
