The history of "Palestine" - prove me wrong

A long-ish video linked on FB. This guy goes over the claims of the "Palestinians" and challenges viewers to find that there is any basis in fact.

What facts one uses, and what facts one leaves out helps one's argument. I did find a response, albeit an incomplete one. Both leave out a lot of the history of Zionism and details of both goals and strategy. That's a lot to cover. The situations in Northern Ireland and South Africa are much simpler to understand and resolve.

I have to admit to profound ignorance regarding this issue, and it's really come into my spotlight recently because, of course.
I see a lot of pro-Israel stuff like the video I posted. It seemed reasoned and factual. I'll be interested in seeing what facts he omitted.
And your comment about South Africa and Northern Ireland is...disturbing.

BTW: Where's a reasonable place I can read about the West Bank and the Palestinian claims?
Cliff's Notes version, please.

Once upon a time
Early History of Jerusalem
Scholars believe the first human settlements in Jerusalem took place during the Early Bronze Age—somewhere around 3500 B.C.
In 1000 B.C., King David conquered Jerusalem and made it the capital of the Jewish kingdom. His son, Solomon, built the first holy Temple about 40 years later.
The Babylonians occupied Jerusalem in 586 B.C., destroyed the Temple, and sent the Jews into exile. About 50 years after that, the Persian King Cyrus allowed Jews to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the Temple.
