I'd like some evidence that this is the case. If you consider tightening election laws to allow people to (gasp) vote once, show ID, then perhaps that is the case.

Remember the flooded polling place in 2020? Now a gas leak (this story might be false, of course). What do you think the odds are that these two events occurred on election day, in polling locations?

Maybe I'm hopelessly naive, but if I was going to manipulate votes I probably wouldn't pick the places where I already had the most support.
