Wacky Halloween rules

I don't know why I didn't notice this before. I found this in today's paper.

Under Suffolk’s city ordinance, Halloween is called “Meet ‘N Treat Day.”

"Halloween" is not allowed, I haven't been able to find out why.

Parents may accompany children, but they may not “wear a mask of any type.” Trick-or-treating ends at 8 p.m.

No mask on parents, why not?

Presumably they don't want adults engaging in Satanic celebrations that are really only suitable for children.
