Incubated, destructive, anti-social cultures given a warm hug by western saviors, do not have a promising history of righting their ships.
As good as it feels to offer the hugs, it's not a step in the right direction for anybody. I mean except the hugger, who gets to feel good about themselves.

Ayn Rand sure as heck doesn't. Her philosophy is pretty much completely at odds with Christian ethics.
On the positive side, her books are unreadable

Thinkers with lots of philosophical monologues. That's the russian novel tradition.

My impression is that the Russian novel tradition was made of neurotics who obsess and moralize ad nauseum about the dismal nature of the human condition. Turgid stuff.
