    I don't think he's entirely right, but I do think universal conscription similar to the Israeli model might be desirable.

      I used to be very much against something like that, but too many of us have gone insane.

      It's not because I've gotten older, either. As a teen, university students held rallies for the morning after pill, not gender reassignment surgeries to be done in secret or terrorist organizations. There were events held by minority organizations that at worst were white-unfriendly—no one was destroying statues. There was a lot of shit-talking about bad faculty but no one was using Facebook to create a court of public opinion to destroy their lives. Things are, objectively, more fucked.

      If the age limits were such that I wasn't exempt so be it.
